How does Home Smart Mortgage work?

  • A consolidated account that combines a mortgage and checking account into one
  • • You can prepay your salary, bonus and savings into the account as extra loan prepayment to reduce the loan principal and immediately save on interest which is calculated on a daily basis. Mortgage monthly interest is calculated and charged at month end.
  • • You can withdraw any extra loan prepayment from the account at anytime. Within penalty period, loan outstanding balance has to be maintained at least 50% of the original loan amount. Throughout the loan period, if the outstanding balance is less than HK$30,000, system will treat it as an early settlement signal. Any extra loan prepayment from the account cannot be withdrawn or transferred. You have to repay your monthly installment until the mortgage outstanding balance is settled.

    • • The Member-get-Member Program is applicable to any mortgage loan application submitted from Jan 1, 2025 to Dec 31, 2025 (both dates inclusive) and the mortgage loan is successfully drawn down in Citibank. To be eligible for the Cash Reward, the Referee must fill in a referral form and submit to us at loan application.
    • • The Referee’s applied mortgage loan must beHK$2,000,000 or above. Any existing loan top-up or staff loan is not eligible for this program. The applied loan amount is subjected to the decision made by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited.
    • • The referrer will enjoy $2,000 cash rewards for referrals with Referee’s applied loan amount of HK$2,000,000 or above and less than HK$5,000,000.
