“iPhone for Life Plan” Terms and Conditions:
- “iPhone for Life Plan” (the “Plan”) consists of Merchant Installment Plan, a loan provided by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited (“Citibank”) (the “Merchant Installment Plan” or “Loan”) and Guaranteed Buy-Back Value provided by the designated mobile service providers (the “Guaranteed Buy-Back Value”).
- The Plan applies to cardholders ("Cardholders") of Citi Credit Cards issued by Citibank (excluding Citi Rewards UnionPay Card) (“Eligible Cards” or “Account(s)”).
- The Plan is available at the designated mobile service providers’ outlets including 1O1O, CSL,3 Hong Kong,HKBN and SUPREME (the "Merchant(s)") and the merchant list may vary from time to time subject to the decision of Citibank. For details, please visit Citibank website.
- Under the Plan, Cardholders may purchase specific iPhone model (the “Product”) from the Merchants and repay the full amount of the merchant sales price of the Product (the “Loan Amount”) by equal monthly installment payments through Eligible Cards according to Merchant Installment Plan. The Plan is governed by these “Citi iPhone for Life Plan” Terms and Conditions, Merchant Installment Plan Terms and Condition (available at http://citibank.hk/mip), relevant Citi Credit Card Agreement Terms and Conditions, Merchant Product Return Terms and Conditions, and Merchants’ other terms and conditions (available at the Merchants’ websites)

- If the Cardholders enroll the Plan, the Cardholder shall be deemed to have read, agreed, and accepted all the terms and conditions governing the Plan. Citibank and/or the Merchants each reserves the right to vary or change such relevant terms and conditions in any appropriate method at any time without prior notice or accept or decline any application for the Plan without giving any reason therefor.
- Cardholders undertakes to repay the Loan Amount to Citibank by equal monthly installments through the Card (each an “Installment”) with the first Installment being charged on the Plan’s transaction date, and each subsequent Installment will be charged to the Eligible Card on the same monthly calendar day (or the next calendar day if there is no such day) of the Plan’s transaction date until the Loan Amount is fully repaid. Payment of each Installment shall be treated in the same way as any other transactions charged to the Account and subject to all relevant Citi Credit Card Agreement Terms and Conditions. In any event, Cardholders are required to repay the Loan Amount in full to Citibank and is liable for all charges, including without limitation to charges on overdue payments, in accordance with the terms of relevant Citi Credit Card Agreement Terms and Conditions.
- Citibank may at its absolute discretion and at any time without giving any prior notice and reason, (i) not offer the Plan to Cardholder; or (ii) withdraw or cancel the Plan / Loan / Account. Upon the occurrence of any of the aforementioned event, or if the Cardholder cancels the Account, Cardholder shall immediately repay all outstanding liabilities under the Account, including without limitation any amount outstanding under the Loan, to Citibank.
- The Product is provided by the Merchants subject to availability and may be changed from time to time. For details, please contact the Merchants.
- Under the Plan, Cardholders may elect to exercise the Product Return Option provided by the Merchants to return the Product to the respective Merchants to receive the Product’s applicable Guaranteed Buy-Back Value from the respective Merchants (“Product Return Option”), subject to all the following conditions are met by the Cardholders:
- a) Cardholders must repay each of the equal monthly installment payments according to Merchant Installment Plan under the Plan up to the 24th tenor and the remaining installments in one lump sum payment on the 25th month statement cycle date representing the applicable Guaranteed Buy-Back Value;
- b) Cardholders may exercise the Product Return Option after the 24th month statement cycle date and return the Product to respective Merchants within the designated period that is stipulated by the Merchants and Citibank;
- c) Account status must be current and in good standing under all the terms and conditions governing the Plan set out in Clause 4;
- d) the Product shall meet all the functional conditions and relevant requirements as assessed and designated by the Merchants in accordance with the Product Acceptance Criteria of respective Merchants’ respective Product Return Terms and Conditions (which may be named differently, collectively as “Product Return Terms and Conditions” in below). For details, please contact the Merchants;
- e) Cardholders must return the Product to the same Merchants from whom the Product was purchased; and
- f) Cardholders are in full compliance with the Product Return Terms and Conditions and other applicable terms and conditions of respective Merchants. For the details of the Product Return Terms and Conditions of the Merchants, please check with respective Merchants.
- Cardholders shall not be entitled to Product Return Option if any of the conditions set out in Clause 9 is not fulfilled, in such circumstances:
- a) Cardholders shall not be entitled to receive the Product’s applicable Guaranteed Buy-Back Value from the Merchants, yet he/ she still has to fulfil the obligations or liabilities under the Plan
- b) Cardholders shall still be responsible for repaying the Loan Amount in full with equal monthly installment payments according to Merchant Installment Plan under the Plan, regardless whether or not Cardholders has exercised the Product Return Option.
- Cardholders shall be responsible for repaying the Loan Amount in full with equal monthly installment payments according to Merchant Installment Plan under the Plan, regardless whether or not Cardholders has exercised the Product Return Option voluntarily or Cardholders has been disqualified for the Product Return Option involuntarily due to the occurrence of any of the aforementioned event.
- The Product Return Option is solely provided by and at the discretion of the respective Merchants, and not by Citibank. Citibank does not guarantee nor warrant the availability of the Product Return Option nor the ability of the Merchants to buy back the Product at the Guaranteed Buy-Back Value in the event the respective Merchant(s) fails to do so for whatever reason, including without limitation in the event of bankruptcy or winding up of the Merchant. The Merchant shall be solely responsible for disputes, enquires, liabilities and complaints in relation to the Product, Product Return Option, and the Guaranteed Buy-Back Value and its related services.
- In the event that the Merchant(s) cease operations (including in the event of bankruptcy or winding up of the Merchant), Cardholders shall be entitled to receive the Product’s applicable Guaranteed Buy-Back Value from the Merchant(s)’ designated trade-in partner (as specified in the Merchant(s)’ official website), without prejudice to his/her obligations under the Plan. Citibank shall not in any event be liable for any failure by the Merchant(s) or its trade-in partner to provide or fulfill the Product Return Option for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation in the event of the Merchant’s cessation of business, bankruptcy or winding up.
- Citibank is not a party to the Product purchase agreement between Cardholders and the Merchants, and makes no representation or warranty on the delivery, condition, servicing, suitability, availability or quality of the Product and its related services, as made available to Cardholders by the Merchants. Citibank shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that may be suffered by Cardholders, directly or indirectly, in connection with the Product. In no circumstances will Citibank be responsible for any refund or replacement of the Product for any reason.
- Citibank reserves the right to vary or amend these terms and conditions or withdraw or terminate the Plan at its discretion without prior notice and Citibank accepts no liability for such amendment, withdrawal or termination. All matters and disputes are subject to the final decision of Citibank.
- In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
“Limited Time Offer HK$600 Spending Rebate (“Offer”)” Terms & Conditions:
- The promotion is valid from now to December 31, 2023 (“Promotion Period”). All Citi iPhone for Life Plan” (the “Plan”) application must be conducted during the Promotion Period (based on application dates, as defined in Clause 19).
- This promotion is only applicable to cardholders (“Cardholders”) of Citi Credit Cards issued by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited (“Citibank”) (except Citi Rewards UnionPay Card) (“Eligible Card”). The Merchant may reject an Eligible Card if its payment system cannot handle the Eligible Card type. Please contact the Merchant for details.
- During the Promotion Period, Cardholders, who successfully apply for the Plan with Eligible Card at the Merchant and when the Plan is approved by Citibank, are entitled to receive a HK$600 spending rebate.
- Only the first 3,000 Cardholders who fulfill the aforementioned offer requirements (as defined in Clause 19) during the Promotion Period are eligible for the Offer on a first-come-first-served basis, while the quota lasts.
- Regardless of the number of principal and supplementary Eligible Cards under the same Cardholder, each Cardholder (based on the unique Hong Kong Identity Card/ Passport number per Citibank’s record) can enjoy the Offer once only during the Promotion Period.
- If application for the Plan is approved and confirmed to be qualified for the spending rebate after verification by Citibank at its sole and absolute discretion, the corresponding rebate will be automatically credited to the Eligible Card account on or before February 29, 2024.
- Citibank will determine the eligibility of each Cardholder to participate in this promotion based on Citibank’s records, and at the sole and absolute discretion of Citibank.
- In case of any fraud/abuse/reversal or cancellation of transactions in respect of which the Offer was awarded, Citibank reserves the right to debit from the Cardholder’s Eligible Card account the equivalent amount of the Offer without prior notice.
- Cardholder’s account must be valid and with good credit record during the Promotion Period and the fulfillment period in order to be eligible to enjoy the Offer otherwise Citibank reserves the right to forfeit the Offer without prior notice.
- Cardholders must keep and submit the relevant original credit card sales slips and original merchant sales receipts and/or other documents in respect of the transactions for inspection upon request by Citibank. All documents submitted to Citibank will not be returned.
- Unless otherwise specified, this promotion cannot be used in conjunction with other special promotions, discounts or promotional coupons, nor be transferred or exchanged for cash or other offers.
